Ben's Cast

Ben is learning not to suck his thumb. He, like the girls two years ago, will have it on for one week and then we will soak the cast in the tub to remove it. His cast is made of Rigid Wrap (found at Michael's). The cast doesn't have to go all the way up his thumb--just high enough to break the suction. He has been a champ. No tears at bed time, just frustration at meal times because he is right-handed.

Why there have been no posts lately

1. School is now in session and my kids have homework every night (we're talking math problems, spelling words, sight-reading words, etc.)

2. I have been trying to help my kids learn their parts and all the songs for the primary program next week.

3. I have a new calling (counselor in the Relief Society presidency)

4. I am trying to help Ben learn the alphabet (poor guy has been ignored for too long)

5. I have been planning a visiting teaching luncheon for those I visit teach

6. I never have enough "quiet time" as I have to wake kids from their naps twice: once to pick up Tessa from kindergarten and once to pick Marie up from 1st grade.

7. The never-ending pile of laundry that haunts our four HUGE hampers. (I think we should go back to the pioneer days when people owned one outfit for work and one for church.)

8. We won't mention my disgusting bathrooms.
