Q: How many times can a mom put on and take off snow gear for four children--all prior to 9:00 a.m.--before she cracks?
A: About six. Grace alone, took 20 minutes to gear-up. She took one step onto the porch and decided she was done. That is why you don't see any pictures of her. And that is why parents of young children look 10 years older than their child-less counterparts.

Wow, that is a ton of snow.....
It wouldn't be so bad getting everyone all bundled if they would stay out and play for the morning. At BEST you might get a half hour. And then it's in, and out, and in and out........And the clothes are all wet, and the floor is drippy. Isn't it GRAND!
Of course OUR solution is to find a fun place up in the mountains where there is something to do ie: snowboarding and skiing. But the snow will all be gone in a week; it's warming up already.
How fun and miserable at the same time! I don't even like having to find socks and shoes for the kids let alone snow gear! Time to pull it all out of the closet. Hang in there... the winter's just started!
Snow gear is the worst. But at least the kids had fun.
I agree with Annie. Shoes and socks are enough of a bother. I'm trying to teach Joshua to keep them on all day (with the orthodics, he's supposed to, anyway). But, oh, how fun to play in the snow!

You mentioned you had -20 degrees. That is an event to showcase for sure. My goodness. Well we have gotten into the single digits. So we seem to be safe... (knocking on the nearest bookshelf).
About the pictures you mentioned, that would be great. Paul mentioned he never even took school pictures, so it would be nice to have some pictures for the kids to goggle at... heehee. Our address is

Good luck on the decluttering. That seems to be what the New Year brings for me... the organization bug. So its good to hear I am not the only one with her head buried in boxes trying to shed the baggage.
