Grace: I can't. I'm fasting.

Tessa (to Marie): In school we are learning how to do persuasive writing. I think I'll write a letter to Santa.

Allie: Grace, please go make your bed.
Grace: I can't. I'm not in this ward.

Ben walks into the kitchen, notices Allie's eyes watering from the onion she is cutting, gently removes the knife from her hands and says, "Mom, watch and learn." He then closes his eyes and proceeds to chop the onion.
